I love working with women, helping them get in touch with their heart's desires and make more authentic choices by releasing emotions and stress, letting go of ties to the past, healing from trauma and learning how to create effective boundaries.

While I have significant specialized training in these areas, they are near and dear to my own heart, because these are the areas that have helped me the most on my personal path to living with awareness and aliveness.

Before arriving at what I call my soul's work, I had a career as a financial and tax analyst for over 20 years.

One day, working at my desk on a complicated forecasting model, I paused.  In that pause, a message bubbled up from deep inside me, and in that moment I knew, without a doubt, that I was dying a slow death.   I was stressed out, dissatisfied with my work, and unhappy in my relationships. My health had suffered. I knew, deep down, that I wanted a much different life.

While my head "told" be to ignore this message, my heart won out - probably for the first time in years.   So I embarked on a journey of discovery that led to a variety of personal growth work. Gradually, I became more alive, more in touch with my spirit, and made a series of self-honoring choices.

I released a lot of emotional stuff from the past.  I came face-to-face with my deeply ingrained patterns of people-pleasing and avoiding - sometimes labelled as codependency. I learned how to transform these ineffective patterns into healthy personal boundaries. Boundary-making remains a daily process for me - it's one of the most valuable tools I've ever learned.

I went through a divorce - it wasn't easy, but I was able to do it with grace and respect.

I entered into a new primary relationship that continues to be loving, enjoyable and fulfilling.

As I continued to seek out personal growth opportunities, I was blessed with many wonderful teachers and mentors. I made a decision to do work that I loved. After years of working as a financial professional (I hold an MA in Business and a BA in Music), I spent many years learning how to work with people and their personal issues with respect, curiosity, and engagement.

My life is now juicy and full - I have rich satisfying relationships, work that I love, and my health is excellent.

On this journey, I learned lots of body-centered approaches that are easy and effective.  I continue to use the best of these to empower myself and my clients - as tools toward releasing what's no longer needed, so that we can feel more energized and more alive and take charge of our lives.

My foundation for working with people comes primarily from my studies at The Haven Institute (formerly called PD Seminars) in B.C., from which I hold a Diploma in Counselling (DipC) for completing the professional program in counselling and group facilitation. At the Haven, I trained by working 'hands-on' with people from all walks of life and all sorts of problems, under professional supervision. The nature of the learning was experiential and body-oriented, and I continue to use this approach in my work.

I'm highly experienced in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and am a Level 3 Advanced EFT Practitioner certified by EFT International (formerly AAMET International). I've studied with expert EFT trainer Annabel Fisher and with EFT Masters Rue Hass, Ann Ross and Gwyneth Moss.  I've completed the 3-year training in Somatic Experiencing, a body-centered approach for healing trauma, and completed training in Matrix Reimprinting with EFT.
